To our Members,

We hope you are all well and business is good.

OPAL CERTIFICATES OF AUTHENTICTY

We are working on getting the opal test for members finished- We have attached some suggest questions from Natassa Patel who is working on it.

We suggest you check out this link on the opal associations face book page on how to tell if a opal is treated or natural.

This test is only avaliable to those who wish to take the test in Australia at present.

QLD LEASE AREAS

It apperas that the claims and lease areas are still under review but the general feeling is that the govt will be more accomaditing to the opal industry. The opal association did make a donation to this issue.

OPAL ASSOCIATION MEETING

As soon as Natassa Patel returns from the Tucson show we will have a meeting and finish the opal certificate test.

This test will ensure the correct issue of the Certificates. Members will have to pass before they can issue Certificates.

Below you will find a copy of the suggested test created by Natassa Patel. We would appreciate your comments and feedback so we can get this passed through the Committee and implemented on the Website.

thank you
