OPAL ASSOCIATION NEWS LETTER

To all our members we wish you all a safe and happy Christmas.

Our industry is still has a lot of positive vibes and confidence in it with more exploration in most fields so with a lower dollar more sales can be achieved.
OPAL CERTIFICATES

We have closed the ability for members to print there own certificates from our web site. This is to prevent abuse of the certificate system. We have formed a sub committee to look at making a test for members to do before they can issue them . We are also getting legal advice so members are responsible for issuing there certificates. There is a lot of demand from members for this service so we hope to be able to present to members early in the new year our recommendations.

OPAL MEETING

There will be an opal association meeting on the 10 January at 25 surfers av mermaid waters at 1 pm

Agenda

To formulate an advertising agenda for the year with advertising for the Tucson show and also advertising in the ICA publication which is featuring articles on opal.

To inform members of the progress of the  new classifications system. There will also be a presentation in Tucson on the nomenclature with the date and place advised later.

We also will be doing some social media marketing of members booths during the Tucson show.
